Welcome to our website

The Meridian Winds Concert Band was founded in about 2002 by a group of passionate musicians. At the time, they were mostly music teachers and other professional musicians for whom Sunday was the only 'free' day. Since then, the group has evolved to be more of a community group with a more mixed technical ability, eager to unite, make music, and engage the local community through performance.

The band regularly performs in Fareham and the South Hampshire areas, and rehearses twice a month on Sunday afternoons. Our rehearsals are enjoyable and centred on achieving high standards, with a diverse repertoire that spans from Broadway and the big screen to popular hits and classical pieces.
